Jill Dorothy Ireland (24 April 1936 – 18 May 1990) was an English actress and singer. Born in Hounslow, Ireland was the daughter of a wine merchant and a housewife. Her father was killed in action during World War II when she was just six years old. Ireland began her acting career in the early 1950s, appearing in small roles in British films and television shows.

In 1962, Ireland married actor Charles Bronson. The couple went on to star in several films together, including "The Great Escape" (1963), "The Dirty Dozen" (1967), and "Death Wish" (1974). Ireland also appeared in a number of other notable films, including "The Shootist" (1976), "Telefon" (1977), and "10 to Midnight" (1983).

Ireland was perhaps best known for her role as Leila Kalomi, the only woman Mr. Spock ever loved, in the Star Trek episode "This Side of Paradise" (1967). She also appeared in the Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) as the voice of the computer.

Ireland died of breast cancer on 18 May 1990, at the age of 54. She was survived by her husband, Charles Bronson, and their three children.
